In the celebration of the FESTIVAL OF LANGUAGES AND POETRY held during the week from the 20th to the 24th April, 2009, a series of academic, artistic and cultural activities and games were developed. The Festival was accomplished with the purpose to give the city a place for the cultivation of artistic values and implementing a strategy of social mobilization and participation around the narration and speech, listening, reading and writing of poems and fables involving the entire educational community of ENSMA and, if possible, to entities that promote reading.Another purpose of this festival was to open the doors to the literature, often locked in classrooms, schools, universities, institutes and libraries. It was intended to carry it elsewhere so that more people know, value and approache to it to enjoy its beauty.
Unfortunately that week was held a 48 hours teachers' strike that disrupted the fulfillment of the festival program, but the activities were developed successfully and became the starting point for several initiatives to cultivate the artistic values of literature and to promote the love for the languages spoken in our geographical context.
FESTIVAL OF LANGUAGE AND POETRY
Day 1: Monday, April 20

Day 2: Friday, April 23
- Hoisting of the National Flag
- Day of languages and poetry celebration
All the educational community was left in to the magic of literature and poetry of the hands of students who, in a disciplined and responsible manner, full of plastic beauty and creativity, developed several activities to celebrate the Spanish language. Remained pending for making the collection of books donated by the ENSMA students and the outdoors recital called Poetry at the park.
